Code of Conduct for Members of the French Camel Sports Federation
The purpose of this Code of Conduct is to define the common expectations of all participants in camel sports, which are regulated by the French Camel Sports Federation FFSC. These principles serve as a basis for promoting a positive environment, encouraging fair play, and maintaining a culture of respect throughout the camel sporting community. As representatives of the camel sporting community, this Code of Conduct applies at all times to the following individuals: board members, officers, event and non-event volunteers (including all members of committees, councils, and working groups), Federation employees, member federations, participants, jockeys (and their support staff), camel owners and trainers, race organizers and managers, licensed officials, trainers, team managers, and any other person appointed or authorized to act on behalf of the organization.
The Code of Ethics of the French Camel Sports Federation (FFSC), adopted on April 3, 2025, sets out the ethical and professional rules that all camel sports stakeholders in France must follow. Inspired by the standards of the World Camelids Sports Federation (WCS), this code promotes the values of equality, integrity, respect for animal welfare, and transparency. It notably governs the fight against corruption, doping, and conflicts of interest, and guarantees responsible governance. This document is a strong commitment to the ethical and sustainable development of camel sports.
FFSC is committed to promoting gender equality, equity, and inclusion within the camel sporting environment. As the leading federation in the global camel sporting community, FFSC strives to foster an environment where people of all genders can participate, excel, and contribute to the growth of this ancient and evolving sport. Gender inclusion is at the heart of our organization, and we are committed to providing equal opportunities for all genders in all facets of the French Camel Sports Federation, both on and off the track. This includes administrative and leadership roles.
Historically, camel sports, particularly camel racing, have been dominated by men, but norms are changing, as is the involvement of women and marginalized gender groups. This policy
describes the principles and actions that the FFSC takes to ensure gender inclusion in camelid sports.
The French Camel Sports Federation (FFSC) is committed to promoting the responsible and sustainable development of camel sports in France. Aware of the importance of preserving the environment and ensuring animal welfare, the FFSC integrates sustainable practices into all its activities. This policy is aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the International Olympic Committee's (IOC) sustainability principles.
The Code of Ethics of the French Camel Sports Federation (FFSC), adopted on April 3, 2025, defines the fundamental principles guiding all of its members and partners. Inspired by the international standards of World Camel Racing (WCS) and the International Olympic Committee (IOC), it affirms the Federation's commitment to respect, inclusivity, animal welfare, fair play, and integrity in all its activities. This document serves as a mandatory reference for all FFSC-affiliated organizations and guarantees the ethical, responsible, and transparent practice of camel sports.
