The Montlucon Neris racecourse and the French Camel Sports Federation are pleased to announce an exceptional event: the French Camel Racing Cup, a day dedicated to horse racing and camel racing, Mauritanian Saharan culture and the promotion of responsible sport around large camelids.
🐪 ON THE PROGRAM:
8 horse races and three camel races will punctuate the afternoon:
- 🏁 Two national races with the jockeys of the French team, men and women, who have been training for several months to represent this emerging discipline in Europe.
- 🌍 A prestigious international race, a symbolic duel between Mauritania and France bringing together two great champions:
- A Mauritanian champion jockey, ambassador of Saharan tradition
- Olivier Philipponneau, founder of the French Federation and coach of the national team
🌟 A CULTURAL AND SPORTING EVENT:
This day will also highlight:
- The official presentation of the new French camel jockey team and the presentation of the President of the Mauritanian Camel Sports Federation, Mr. Isselmou El Moustapha.
- A stand from the Mauritania National Tourist Office? guest of honor, to promote the traditions, crafts and landscapes of this partner country
- A strong commitment to animal welfare, through educational demonstrations and the promotion of respectful practices

- Raise public awareness of camel racing as a sporting and cultural activity
- Create links between breeders, athletes and visitors around a common passion
- Promote the Franco-Mauritanian partnership in a spirit of respect and openness
